1:1 Learning Support Assistant

This position will be based at Southwood School.



(6 September to 16 December 2022)


Grade B £19,650 (pro rata) Actual: £13,224 per annum

8.50am – 3.15pm term time only (with 1/2 hour for lunch)


We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to work on a one to one basis in partnership with teaching and other educational support staff.  The successful candidate will be supporting a child or children with high needs, for the autumn term initially. You will provide learning support for pupils, working with them as directed by teaching staff within a structured teaching situation or individually as required.

The position will be based at Southwood School.

The person we are looking for will:

  • have relevant experience/qualifications
  • have some knowledge/experience of children with high needs
  • be kind, caring and understanding
  • be a good role model
  • be sensitive to the child’s particular needs
  • be willing to work closely with others and work as part of a team
